Home to You

April morning Sunday showers
make me think of you
All the things we could do
Tuesday's fire warm and glowing
helps to see me through and sends my thoughts
Home to you

Home to you
I'm coming home to you
I've seen so much that's new
And I want to spend some time
Holding you

Clouds that look like lady's shadows
Your silhouette knows, my cigarette glows in the darkness
And I've seen bridges burned to splinters
But then the morning light
leads my eyes from the night

From the night
I've some partial light
if I can find the chord that's right
And I'll ask you please to smile
One more time
